Research into how to create an effective stair chase scene (Vertigo)

The main chase scene in my production is up stairs, so I have looked at the most famous film stair chase scene which has to be from Hitchcock Vertigo, I want to reflect how Hitchcock infers the danger of the stairs due to the height. This is done through the camera looking over the edge and zooming in and out to exaggerate the height and infer vertigo to the audience.  So in my production halfway through the chase i will do this shot so that my audience can understand the danger the characters face through chasing each other up the stairs.
I will also use the low shot in the corner of the stairs which is shown at 2:20-2:24 which conveys to the audience that the stairs are ascending to an extreme height which infers a sense of risk and danger.
